Gary D. Kirkwood, 65, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 12:22 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. He was born on December 31, 1951 in Greenfield, IN to Millard Stephen & Maidee Walton (Pettus) Kirkwood.
He grew up in Greenfield, IN, attended Greenfield High School and moved to the Syracuse area in 1976. He was formerly employed at Behlen Manufacturing in Goshen for 10 years, Sellers Manufacturing in Milford for several years, sheared sheep, and was a welder.
He attended Victory Christian Fellowship in North Manchester, IN.

Step Son – Travis (Kaelin) Clark of Lafayette, IN
20 Grand & 2 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Shirley Clark of Coal City, IN
2 Brothers – Richard (Bonnie Lee) Kirkwood of North Manchester & Terry (Denise) Kirkwood of Howe, IN
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Frances LaVern Flynn, and brother – Jimmy Millard Kirkwood.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 12:00 noon on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Morbitzor officiating. Private family burial will take place at the McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse.
