Gayle L. Miner, 71, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 5:20 a.m. in her Hoffman Lake (Atwood, Indiana) home.
On April 11, 1944 she was born to Leonard and Olga (Greco) Schneider in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a 1962 graduate of Warsaw High School. After high school she attended the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis.
Gayle and Ray A. Miner were married in Atwood on July 21, 1968. They would share 47 years together.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County and was employed by Warsaw Community Schools in the Central Administration Office for 30 years retiring in 2006.
Gayle was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of Rozella Golf Course. Gayle enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left with memories to treasure are her husband: Ray, Atwood; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Sherry Miner and Matt and LeeAnn Miner – all of Warsaw; 3 grandchildren: Craig, Daniel and Elizabeth – all at home; sister: Joy L. Drury of St. Louis, Missouri; mother-in-law: Betty Miner, Warsaw and sister-in-law: Carolyn Miner of Muncie, Indiana.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law: Harold Miner, and brothers-in-law: Mitch Drury and Don Miner.
Friends will join the family to share memories and comfort one another Tuesday, February 9th from 3-7 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating Gayle’s life will take place Wednesday, February 10th, at 10:30 a.m. in Titus Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Lawson of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Gayle’s memory be given to Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906 or American Lung Association, 9445 Delegates Row, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
