George Bacon, age 82, of Tippecanoe Lake, Leesburg, passed away on April 8, 2025. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. He was born on October 13, 1942 to Cletus and Dorothea (Kintz) Bacon in Fort Wayne, IN.

He graduated from Payne High School in Ohio in 1961 and went on to have a commendable career, working for several years at General Electric, until his retirement in 1996. George also served honorably in the Coast Guard.

George was a man of many passions. He loved hunting deer and fishing, often spending cherished moments on Tippecanoe Lake, which he proudly called home. George had a remarkable talent for fixing just about everything. He was always there for others when they needed help. As a devoted family man, he deeply loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His fondness for Indiana University basketball was well known, as he was a big supporter of the team. He was also a long time member of the Syracuse Eagles and the North Webster American Legion Post 253.

George is survived by his loving children: Christine (Tony) Jinks of Kuhn Lake, Susanne (Paul Malnor) Guitard of Fort Wayne, and Kelly (Delvin) Wolf of Fort Wayne. He took immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Samantha (Cody) Swager, Vincent Jinks, Isaac Jinks, Luke (Alyson) Guitard, Danielle (Nic) Matthews, Taylor Wolf, and Ashton Wolf. In addition, he was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, who brought him much happiness. He is survived by his sister, Mary Pierce; his significant other, Donna Wilson; and his beloved dog, Tanner.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bacon, along with his parents, and siblings Virginia Moyer, Barbara Heck, Joan Carey, Eugene Bacon, Norbert Bacon, and John "Jack" Bacon.

Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8056 E. 500 N. North Webster, IN 46555. A Life Celebration Visitation for George will be held on April 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by his funeral starting at 6:00 PM all held in the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the Fort Wayne Humane Society, 901 Leesburg Road Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
