George A. Lyons, 52, of North Webster, IN passed away at 12:36 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1962 in Evergreen Park, IL to Edward Joseph & Mary Joan (Schramek) Lyons.

He grew up in the Chicago area and attended Bremen High School in Midlothian, IL. He was a Union Carpenter at local 62 in Chicago for 10 years and formerly worked at McCormick Place in Chicago. He moved to the North Webster area in 2002 from Chicago.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

He is survived by:
2 Daughters Amber Lyons of North Webster & Amy Lyons of North Webster
1 Grandson
2 Step Daughters – Amanda Frye of Shinnston, WV & Samantha Frye of North Webster
3 Step Grandchildren
3 Sisters – Shirley Boblink of Warsaw, Cindy Braatz of North Webster, & Mary (Lon) Mallory of North Webster
2 Brothers – Robert Lyons of Leesburg & Edward (Brenda) Lyons of Syracuse

He was preceded in death by his parents & life companion – Cynthia Frye.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at American Legion Post, St. Rd. 13, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the American Legion.
