Gladys Holloway (Bell)

Gladys Marie Holloway passed away Sunday October 25, 2015 at 9:27 PM in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana. She was 91.
The daughter of William and Una (Denny) Bell, Gladys was born December 14, 1923 in Monticello, Kentucky. She was a 1941 graduate of North Webster (Indiana) High School.
Gladys and Nelson Holloway were joined in marriage in Warsaw on February 23, 1946.
She lived most of her life in Burket, Indiana. Gladys was an inspector for Playtime and F.I. Seaman Co. for a total of 16 years and retired in 1969.
She enjoyed playing Dominos and loved being outside gardening and taking walks. Most of all, though, she loved being with and took great care of her family. She was a great example of sacrificial love.
Gladys is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy and Steve Mikel of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Beulah and Paul Onstott of Burket; 1 son and daughter-in-law: Barry and Karen Holloway of Olathe, Kansas; 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Troy and Suzanne Brindle of Havertown, Pennsylvania; Rev. Scott and Kelly Mikel of Livonia, Michigan; Chad Mikel, Kokomo, Indiana; Tammy Mikel, Farmington Hills; Daniel and Chelsea Mikel of Manchester, Michigan; Amber Holloway, Overland Park; and Marisa Holloway of Lenexa, Kansas; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 brother: Wm. “Whitey” (Nancy) Bell of Hickory, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Nelson Holloway (February 29, 2012); 3 sisters: Effie Vanderkolk, Evalee DeVreese and Beulah Bell; and brother: Guy Bell.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories Sunday, November 1st from 2-6 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. There will be a service to celebrate Gladys’ life Monday, November 2nd at 10:30 AM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
The family has asked that gifts in Gladys’ memory be directed to K-21 Health Foundation - Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1910. The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege and an honor to care for the family and friends of Gladys Marie Holloway.
