Biography
Gladys L. Lowery, 94, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at 3:30 AM in Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake, Indiana.
Gladys, the daughter of Lawrence and Pearl (Yarman) Dunnuck, was born December 1, 1919 in Warsaw, Indiana. She was a 1937 graduate of Warsaw High School.
She and Harold G. Lowery were joined in marriage December 24, 1942 in Springfield, Missouri. They would share 71 years together. He survives.
Living most of her life in Warsaw she and Harold co-owned Lowery Sewing Center for 20 years retiring in 1974. Together they attended Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego, Indiana.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Dean Harman of Leesburg, Indiana and Landra and David Grant of Pensacola, Florida; 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Landon and Kim Harman of Sharpsburg, Georgia; Britton and Jodi Harman of Guatemala; Adam and Mindy Harman of Winona Lake; Amy and James Hogan of Bartlett, Tennessee; and Jessica and Roger Bowman of Deatsville, Alabama; along with 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Makulowich.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Tuesday, April 15th from 10-11 AM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Gladys L. Lowery will continue beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Rick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
