Glen J. Williamson, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 4:46 p.m. while a patient in the inpatient Hospice Unit at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
One of the 3 sons born to Wallace and Belva (Meade) Williamson, Glen was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on October 17, 1929.
He served in the United States Marines from 1949 – 1952. He was especially proud to have served with the Military Police on Wallops Island, Virginia.
Glen and Brookie Hager were joined in marriage in Mingo County, West Virginia. They have lived in the Warsaw area since 1962 coming from Chicago, Illinois. He was a machinist at Zimmer, Inc. for 10 years retiring in April of 1975.
Glen was a member of Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church at Rose Hill, Silver Lake, Indiana. He loved gardening and his cat, Puddy Tat. He loved socializing with his church friends. Most of all Glen loved his family – especially his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all of them.
Left with memories to treasure is his wife, Brookie; son and daughter-in-law: Glen R. and Laurie Williamson, Warsaw; grandson: Eric Williamson and granddaughter: Emily Williamson – both at home; and his brother-in-law: John Kisicki of Simi Valley, California.
Glen was preceded in death by the passing of his parents: Wallace and Belva Williamson; 2 brothers: Leslie Williamson and Elvie Williamson; and 2 sisters: Sherlene Williamson and Connie Kisicki.
Friends will come to be supportive of Glen’s family as they grieve his passing Sunday afternoon from 3-6 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. Then Monday a service celebrating Glen’s life will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Elder Bob Hackney, Elder John White and Elder Arvil Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
