Glenda J. Millington

July 25, 1940 — January 25, 2025

Warsaw

Glenda J. Millington, of Warsaw and a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her community, passed away at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on July 25, 1940, in Columbia City, Indiana, the daughter of loving parents James and Lulu (Anderson) Egner. On May, 24, 1957, Glenda married the love of her life, Jerry Millington, and, together, they raised three children.

Glenda dedicated much of her life to raising her family, often combining her homemaking duties with her work as a clerk and sales associate at two different convenience stores. She was also one of the first seven women employed at RR Donnelley, breaking boundaries and paving the way for future generations. A woman of many talents, she thrived not only in her professional life but also in her engagement with her family and local community. Glenda was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church for 63 years, contributing her warmth and spirit to the congregation.

Glenda had a variety of interests that brought joy and excitement to her life. She enjoyed bowling on Thursday nights and was active in the Warsaw little league, even serving as its former president. Renowned for her extravagant Halloween parties, she created memorable occasions that captured the delight of children and adults alike. She also cherished her travels with her late husband, Jerry, venturing to places such as North Carolina, Tennessee, and California, and indulging in restful visits to "The Shack" in Michigan, Houghton Lake and Cadillac, Michigan. Together, Glenda and Jerry built their home in 1986, completing the construction in 1988, a testament to their commitment and love for one another.

Passionate about nurturing relationships, she loved being surrounded by her family, reflected in her devotion to her children: Debbie (Doug) Marburger, Carolyn (Richard) Neff, and Roger (Heather) Millington. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jeremy Marburger, Shannon Hurd, Heather Caudill, Fayth Buriff, Stephanie Igney, Ashley Schuh, Kara McBroom, and Tonya Millington, as well as her 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, who passed away in 2022, along with her parents, and her sisters: Ima Jean Nelson and Rosemary Carney, and brothers: Keith Egner, Forrest Egner, Harold Egner, and Gerrald Egner.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with Glenda's care.
