Gloria L. Knisley

June 19, 1949 — January 26, 2025

Syracuse

Gloria L. Knisley passed away on January 26, 2025, at Goshen Hospital. She was born on June 19, 1949, in Kokomo to Oscar & Patricia (Dutton) Metz. Gloria grew up in Burlington, Indiana, and attended Carroll High School in Flora, Indiana. She spent her life embodying selflessness, strength, and devotion to her family and faith.

Gloria married Dana Knisley on December 12, 2001; together they shared a loving partnership that provided a strong foundation for their blended family.

Gloria was known for her cooking skills, often preparing meals that brought loved ones together, particularly her homemade chicken and noodles. Unwavering in her faith, she brought good to the world while showing kindness and love to everyone she met. Strong-willed and hardworking, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need, further exemplifying her selfless character. A faithful online congregant of the Cross Country Cowboy Church in Columbia, Tennessee, she rarely missed a Sunday sermon, often while planted in her chair with a cup of coffee.

She was a loving mother to Christopher Gray, Michael Gray, Brandon Gray, Kassandra (Brandon) Klinefelter and Karessa (Lauren) Knisley. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to Caitlin, Benjamin, Kathryn, Mason, Braxton, Zach, J.T., Lynk and Raily, as well as a great-grandmother to three cherished great-grandchildren. Gloria’s family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated much of her life to nurturing and supporting them.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Patricia Metz; her son, Aaron Muncy; and her brother, Mike Metz.
