Gloria Seyler

October 12, 1927 — July 12, 2024

North Webster

Gloria M. Seyler, born on October 12,1928, to Edward D. Johnson and Cora M. Johnson (Johnson) passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at Miller's Merry Manor of Warsaw just after 2pm on July 12, 2024.

Gloria spent her formative years in Superior, Wisconsin and graduated from Superior High School. Later she attended Superior State College.

As a young woman, she worked as a dental assistant, and later in life managed a shoe store. The role of which she was most proud, however, was that of mother, wife and homemaker.

Gloria was active in her family, serving in the school PTA, serving as Cub Scout Den Mother and attending grandchildren's events whenever she could. A proud Christian, she was a longtime member of the Bradley Wesley UMC in Bradley, IL., and more recently she held membership at North Webster UMC in North Webster, IN. From an early age music was important in her life. She played piano and was very active in church choirs. She loved to crochet, knit, and sew. Her handmade creations left a mark on those around her.

Later in life she loved to watch birds from her window and kept a field guide by her chair. Her passion for bringing people together was evident in her Bunco Club, where games became moments of joy and laughter shared with friends.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Jay K. Seyler; son, Mark Seyler and Mark's wife, Carmen Seyler. Those who survive with memories to hold dear include two sons, Douglas (wife, Lynn) Seyler of Richmond, TX and David (wife, Sandy) Seyler of rural Leesburg. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren - all whom she cherished.

Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8056 E. 500 North, North Webster is entrusted with care of Gloria and the family. A graveside service will be held in the coming weeks at Greenwood Cemetery, 8402 Tower Ave, Superior, WI 54880.. In lieu of flowers, donors should consider gifts to a charity of their choosing. Written condolences may be left on Glorias obituary page at www.TitusFuneralHome.com
