Gregory W. Watkins

Gregory “Greg” W. Watkins passed away surrounded by his family on May 3, 2023 in the comfort of his Warsaw home. He was born on January 31, 1954 in Hazard, KY to Willard and Freda Watkins. He married his loving wife, Sue Taylor, on August 25, 1983, and they spend 36 wonderful years together until her death in 2018.

A proud and skilled mason who spent his life perfecting his craft, Greg built countless structures that still stand today and provided for his family with unwavering dedication and love. He found solace in reminiscing about simpler times and spending time with his beloved dogs as well as with his grandchildren, who he cherished deeply.

Greg is survived by his children, David Roach, Danny (Jenny) Watkins, Greg (Kim) Watkins, Amanda (Casey) Louden, and Jo Beth (David) Hattery; brothers, James (Leslie) Watkins, Joseph (Ginger) Watkins, and Willard (Jackie) Watkins; many grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Greg was preceded in death by his parents.

Greg's proudest accomplishments were without a doubt his incredible masonry work throughout the years, but it was truly the love he shared with all those around him that truly shone through. His memory will be cherished by all those whose lives he touched.
