Harold Barker

Harold T. Barker, 87, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 12:51 a.m. in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Indiana.
Born November 6, 1929 in Pierceton, Indiana to Theron James and Ella Ellene (Heleso) Barker, Harold was a 1947 graduate of Pierceton High School.
He and Marilyn McCarter were joined in marriage January 16, 1949 in Pierceton. She would precede his death November 29, 2010. Harold was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and was the owner and operator of Barker Heating for 40 years.
Harold was a member of the Pierceton United Methodist Church. He served 53 years as a volunteer fireman with the Pierceton Fire Department. He also belonged to the Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377 F. & A.M.
Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Rosanne Barker of Knoxville, Tennessee; a son: Thomas (and Nancy) Barker of Pierceton; grandson: Robert T. (and Myra) Barker, Warsaw; 2 granddaughters: Mary C. (and John) Britvich of Yorkville, Illinois and Leigh R. Schlactus of Knoxville; and 2 great grandchildren: Jacob and Sarah Barker. In addition to his wife, Harold was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ralph Barker and Infant Kenneth Barker; and 3 sisters: Darlene Boles, Phyllis Dau and Velma Petro.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home. A service will begin at 12 Noon with Pastor Holly White of Pierceton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton where a graveside masonic service will be conducted by the Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377 F. & A.M.
The family has asked that gifts in Harold’s memory be directed to the Pierceton Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 526, Pierceton, Indiana 46562 or to the Pierceton United Methodist Church, 502 N. First Street, Pierceton, Indiana 46562.
