Harold "Harry" C. Davidsen, known to most as Harry, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the age of 94. He was born on February 20, 1929, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, the son of Thomas and Alvena Davidsen (Peterson).
On April 2, 1966, in Mishawaka, Harry married Norma Morris (Ladig). The two shared 52 years together before her passing in February of 2019. Harry and Norma spent their lives together raising their children.
Harry had a fulfilling career that spanned several decades. He began his journey with the B & O Railroad where he dedicated 18 years of his life. Following his time at the railroad, Harry transitioned to become a press operator for Western Rubber. He retired from there after 23 years of hard work.
Harry was known for his ornery but caring personality. He possessed a good sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family cherished the moments they shared with him, always leaving with warm memories and laughter.
One of his passions in life was tractors; he loved buying, selling, and trading them. Harry's inventive spirit led him to design and build guns, cars, and motorcycles. If it had wheels, he could work on it and fix it. His talents extended further as he owned his very own machine shop.
He is survived by his children: David (Mary) Davidsen of Goshen, Richard (Linda) Morris of Syracuse, Gregory Morris of New Paris, JoAnna Weigold of Syracuse, and Cathy (Bill) Stuckman of Syracuse; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Norma Davidsen (Ladig); daughters, Marilyn Davidsen and Cynthia Easterday; sisters, Margaret Beckley and Dorothy Huff; brother, Bud Davidson; and daughter-in-law, Sue Morris.
Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with the care of Harry. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, beginning at 2:00 pm at Sparta Cemetery, 2687 US-33, Kimmell, IN 46760. To leave a condolence, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com
