Harold Edward Marsillett, known to most as “Eddie,” a lifetime Warsaw resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in his Warsaw home at 55 years of age. Loved by many, he is remembered for his giving, larger-than-life heart.
Eddie was born to Ervin and Mary E. (Estepp) Marsillett on August 5, 1965 in Warsaw. He was a graduate of Warsaw High School and was employed for the past 17 years with Tecomet as a Machinist; the 17 years before that he had dedicated to Explorer Van.
Eddie could fix nearly anything and was quite handy. He was fun-loving, always joking and laughing. He had enjoyed hunting and regularly enjoyed fishing. He was a past member of First Christian Church, Warsaw. Above all, family was of prime importance for Eddie – so much so that he brought others into the family who weren’t related by blood and made them his own. He loved time spent with his family, enjoyed time in Gatlinburg and the mountains of Tennessee and was a fan of Sci-Fi movies.
On October 13, 2001, Eddie was married to Nicole Massing-Shumaker; she survives in Warsaw as do their children: Cassie Perkins, Brendan (Ashley Brown) Marsillett, Jaynee Miller, Destiny Marsillett, Takota Marsillett, Liberty Marsillett, Serenity Marsillett and Kya Shepherd – all of Warsaw. Also surviving are granddaughter, Adalyn Shambaugh and Eddie’s siblings: Earl “Beno” Marsillett (wife, Peggy), Mary “Sis” McKinney and Judy Mauk (husband, John).
Friends may join visitors for Eddie’s Life Celebration® at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 4 – 7 p.m. His funeral service will begin at 7 p.m., officiated by Pastor Bob Jones of First Christian Church.
Memorial gifts may be given to his family with envelopes available at Titus Funeral Home.
