Harold C. Metzger, 84, passed away January 11, 2015 in Tavares, Florida.
Harold was born April 30, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri to Joseph C. and Mamie (Yonts) Metzger.
He served with the United States Army in the Korean War.
On October 29, 1949 he and Pauline Brown were married. They would share 65 years.
Harold was a finish carpenter for Spears Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline of Eustis, Florida; son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Nancy Metzger, 2 grandchildren: Morgan E. Metzger and Garrett M. Metzger – all of Tampa, Florida; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Norman L. and Ruby Metzger of Silver Lake, Indiana and Lyle J. and Alice Metzger of Warsaw, Indiana; and his sister: Norma Kirkwood, Warsaw.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana. Pastor Mike Settles of Claypool United Methodist Church will officiate.
Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
The family has asked that gifts in Harold’s memory be given to the American Heart Association.
