Hazel M. Webb, 75, of Fort Wayne, IN (formerly of Warsaw, IN) passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Covington Manor Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born October 2, 1942 in Palestine, Texas to Horace Henry and Allie May (Bowman) Ricks.

Hazel was valedictorian and graduated in 1960 from Maydelle High School, a 1971 graduate of Henderson County Junior College, and 1979 from Texas Eastern University. She was a longtime resident of Athens until she moved to Warsaw, IN 5 years ago. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church where she served as treasurer and retired as an officer from First National Bank in Athens. She loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

She is survived by:

Daughter - Janice (Tom) Williams of Pierceton

Son - Joe D. Webb, Jr.

Brothers - H. Edward (Barbara) Ricks, Thomas L. (Jackie) Ricks, Bobby H. (Patricia Ann) Ricks, and Donnie Ray (Pat) Elizabeth Ricks,

Sister-in-law - Donna Ricks

Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, eight nieces and eleven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson - Robby Pettiette, sister - Allie Marie Boykin, brother - Harvey Lee Ricks, sister-in-law - Shiela Webb, great-grandson - Robert Pettiette, granddaughter-in-law - Francis Pettiette, two nieces and one nephew.

Visitation for family and friends was held Sunday evening at the Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Monday June 4, 2018 with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens. Local arrangements were handled by Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN.
