Henry Platt

Henry N. Platt, 75, of Warsaw (Oswego), died at 10:27 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 in his residence. He was born to John A. & Martha E. (Hartle) Platt.

He graduated in 1951 from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA and served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956. On September 1, 1956 in Ft. Belvoir, VA he married Vera M. Kindt, who survives. He graduated in 1960 from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL and then moved to Oswego in 1960 to attended Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, IN.

He retired in 2002 from Buhrt Engineering Inc., Warsaw and worked part-time in building maintenance for Front Line Manufacturing in Leesburg. He was a member of the Bread of Life Church in Goshen.

He is survived by:
Wife - Vera Platt of Warsaw
4 Daughters - Mrs. Roger (Denise) Wiggs of Syracuse; Christy Platt of Roundup, Montana; Mrs. Chad (Grace) Tener of Leesburg; and Rachel Plunkett of Warsaw. 2 Sons - Kenneth (wife, Holle) Platt of Warsaw & Kevin (wife, Karen) Platt of Leesburg
15 Grandchildren & 7 Great Grandchildren

Private family graveside services will be held at Leesburg Cemetery on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 Memorial services will be held at Bread of Life Church, 14052 C.R. 34, Goshen, IN at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008 with Pastor Tim Neely of the church officiating.
