Howard L. Ziegler, 81, of North Webster, IN passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 29, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to Verl K. & Charlotte J. (Apple) Ziegler.
He graduated in 1948 from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, IN and was a United States Army Veteran. He was married on July 23, 1949 in Indianapolis to Mary Ann McComb who survives. He retired in 1986 from Western Electric in Indianapolis after 40 years and lived most of his life in Indianapolis until he retired to North Webster in 1986.
He was a member of North Webster Church of God, Lakeland Kiwanis in North Webster, and American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
He is survived by:
Wife – Mary Ann Ziegler of North Webster
2 Daughters – Judy Ann Ziegler & Mrs. Kevin (Beth Ann) Smith both of North Webster
1 Son – Howard L. (wife, Pattie) Ziegler Jr. of North Webster
6 Grand & 2 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, & 2 brothers – Charles & Stanley Ziegler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the North Webster Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, IN with Pastor Dennis Judy of the church officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229 with Bob Curry officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to Wawasee Camp of Gideon’s, P.O. Box 101, Syracuse, IN 46567 or North Webster Church of God, P.O. Box 313, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the church.
