Inez B. Caywood

Inez B. Caywood, 89, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 12:28 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born on February 19, 1926 in Churubusco, IN to Edward E. & Mabel Ann (Geiger) Gordon.

She lived most of her life in North Webster/ Syracuse area and graduated in 1944 from North Webster High School. On January 20, 1945 in Warsaw, IN she married Roy O. Caywood Jr. who survives. She retired from Depuy in Warsaw, IN after 28 years and was formerly employed with Keith Horn & Horn Sunnymead in Warsaw.

She was a member of Church of God, Hi Neighbors Club and the former Efficient Homemakers Club all in North Webster.

She is survived by:

Husband – Roy Caywood of Syracuse

2 Daughters –Jackie (William) Kitson of Syracuse & Christine (Dave) Waldrop of Syracuse

6 Grand & 17 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister-Lavon Steffen of Fort Wayne

Brother – Raymond (wife, Jo Ann) Gordon of Wolcottville

2 Sisters- in- law – Edythe Gordon of Fort Wayne & Margie Gordon of Columbia City

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Sandra Weisser, sister – Geneva Gordon, & 3 brothers – Clifford, Virgil & Norman Gordon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N in North Webster. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, IN with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Cable Cemetery near Syracuse.

Memorial bequest may be given to Church of God, P.O. Box 313, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
