Iris Fick

February 22, 1937 — August 20, 2024

Warsaw

We wanted to share some memories of our dear mother, Iris Beatrice (Lowe) Fick born February 22, 1937, and passed away on August 20, 2024. She was born in Paignton, England to William Gregory Lowe and Lillian Beatrice (Humphreys) Lowe. Iris belonged to the Church of England.

Iris married Bernard Marion Fick in 1968 and had 3 children. Mark Fick (Millie), Joy Goble Kiser (Gary), and Sonya Fick. Iris had 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, Brooke Jepson (Nathan), Dylan Goble (Alicia), Delaney Hoskins (Cameron), Hilary Kiser, Dylan Kiser, Deanna Nulf (Alex), Kyle Dilley, Lillian Carman, Molly Carman and 11 Great-Grandchildren, Harper, Gryffin, Graham, Scottie, Jayden, Aundre, Oakland, Reya, Brantley, Nova, and Mahylo. Iris was extremely proud of all her family near and far.

As a fiery Red-head, Iris, loved dancing to “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree” while cleaning the house. It wasn’t unusual to hear the occasional “You bloody kids” while raising 3 kids on her own and it became a term of endearment by Mark. Iris was an avid Bingo playing, crocheting, Brit who loved spending time with her family.

She dedicated over 20 years to RR Donnelly before retiring. Once retired, she spent her time with kids and family and visiting Bingo halls and Casino all over the country. Iris also loved to bowl and play Tonc at the American Legion while serving as the Women’s Auxiliary President.

Iris spent her later years at Paddock Springs. When Paddock Springs asked Iris what she would like for a wish she said she would like to go to the Casino one more time and they made that happen. Thankfully that day her left hand was itching, and she won!! We are so thankful for the wonderful care she had while there.

Mom expressed her wish to be cremated and reunited with her parents at their graveside in England, Looks like we’ll be taking that trip back to England together Afterall. The family will be having a private Celebration of Life, Iris style, with all her favorite things…..Family, Bingo, and Scratch-offs. Enjoy the card game in heaven with our entire crew! You will always be deeply loved and missed.

 Love, your family.
