Jack E. Culbertson was a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many during his time on this earth. Born in Pierceton in 1931, he spent his formative years in the same community he would later leave a lasting impact on.
Jack's work ethic and commitment were truly unmatched. For over 33 years, he devoted his energy to NIPSCO, with a significant portion of that time dedicated to serving as a lineman—a role of which he was proud. Even after retirement, Jack continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic by assisting his wife at Culbertson Realty.
Beyond his professional life. Jack was a kind-hearted and generous soul. He possessed the remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel welcomed and at ease. His warm demeanor and welcoming nature meant that he rarely encountered a stranger; instead, he viewed each new face as an opportunity to connect and build meaningful relationships.
A proud veteran and patriot, Jack was honorably discharged from the US Navy—a chapter in his life that he held dear to his heart.
Among all of his accomplishments, Jack held his family closest to his heart. He took great care to stay connected with his daughter Sandy Miller, grandson Jeff Miller, and extended family members. His love for them knew no bounds, and their memories together will forever be cherished.
Jack E. Culbertson passed away on March 27th, 2024, at Parkview Kosciusko Hospital. He is survived by his beloved daughter Sandy Miller and her partner Steve Craft. In the wake of his departure, Jack leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and unwavering dedication that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
