Jack Keith Hubbs, Sr. a hardworking and family-focused man, passed away peacefully though unexpectedly at his son’s home in North Webster, IN on October 14, 2023. He was born on October 27, 1927 in Cameron, WV to parents, Edward Hubbs and Necia Mickey Hubbs. You will be missed here with us, but Mom needed you more.
Jack graduated in 1945 from Cameron High School and enlisted in the US Navy where he trained to be a medic. He completed his training at Great Lakes, and honorably served his country. After the war, Jack embarked on a fulfilling career. He initially worked for Kresge’s in Wheeling, WV, then moved to Alliance, OH where he worked for the B&W Tube plant. After B&W, he spent more than 30 years as a Machinist at Alliance Machine. Jack was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all he did.
Beyond work, Jack was skilled at carpentry and used his talents to build or remodel every home he and Patsy owned. This included their first home in Alliance, OH, on Rockhill Ave, which together they completed – a testament to their love and teamwork.
Jack had a strong faith and devotion to the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was the secretary and member at the church in Arcadia, FL. In addition to his faith, his interests were many – Enjoying time with family, hunting, fishing and bowling.
He was also a dedicated Boy Scout Scoutmaster, and a member ofthe American Legion Post 253 in North Webster. Jack’s legacy extended well beyond his personal accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy on June 8, 2021 as well as by sister, Willa Wendt; daughter, Lori Hubbs Tebor; grandson, Jeremy Hicks and great-grandson Harlan Herbert Hubbs. He is survived by son, Jack Jr. of Cameron WV; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Dave McKenzie of East Sparta, OH; son, Thomas Hubbs of Cameron, WV; son, Stephen Hubbs of Wintersville, OH; son, Michael Hubbs of Ellsworth, OH and son, Mark Hubbs and daughter-in-law, Leann Loy Hubbs of North Webster, IN. In addition, he is survived by 12 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren and 3 brothers: Mickey Hubbs of Salem OH, Robert Hubbs and wife, Gaynelle of West Columbia, SC as well as Jerry Hubbs and wife, Cindy of Lake Charles, LA.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately with family as well as private services in Cameron, WV and Greene Co, PA later. Titus Funeral Home in North Webster is entrusted with the care of Jack & the Hubbs family. Family is grieving privately although messages of condolence may be left at www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
