Jack William Klinefelter, 84, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 8:26 AM in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jack was born in Arcola, Indiana to Jacob M. and Gladys Marie (Hill) Klinefelter on February 19, 1930.
He and Marilyn R. Kitchen were married January 14, 1956 in Columbia City, Indiana. She survives.
A Warsaw, Indiana resident, Jack was employed for 8 years as a general manager for American Home Center.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and attended Dutchtown Brethren Church. Jack was past president of Warsaw Little League and a member of the NRA. He was also a member of the North South Skirmish Association and participated in their competitions. He enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working and was an avid outdoorsman. Jack was politically minded and known for his letters to the editor on such matters.
In addition to Marilyn, his wife of 59 years, he leaves behind 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Jack W. and Tammy Klinefelter, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee and John J. and Trinia Klinefelter of Warsaw; his daughter and son-in-law: Valerie and Kevelin Grimes, Nashville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by 2 half-brothers: Lowell Klinefelter and Robert Jean Heminger; and a half-sister: Alice Wallace.
Family and friends will gather Friday, August 14th from 5-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, for a time of sharing memories in support of one another. A service celebrating Jack’s life will take place Saturday morning at 10:30 in the funeral home. Michael Kitchen (Marilyn’s brother) will conduct the service and Pastor Jack Worth of Dutchtown Brethren Church will assist.
Burial will follow in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana.
