Jack Devon Boyer, 91, a life-time resident of North Webster, Indiana died at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born April 10, 1928 in Pierceton, Indiana to Arthur and Dorothea (Willard) Boyer.
Jack graduated in 1946 from North Webster High School, was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and married Naomi Ruth Clouser on October 15, 1955. He went into business with his identical twin brother, Gene Boyer, starting in 1953 through 1960 at the "Wee Fix It Shop" in North Webster, repairing small engines and lawn equipment. In about 1960 Jack opened Boyer Lawn & Garden Equipment in North Webster, which he successfully owned & operated for 40 years (1960-2000). After retirement, he enjoyed working is his garden, attending church, fishing, and going to Florida.

2 Daughters - Carla (Steve) Atkinson of Hibbing, Minnesota and Sarah (Joe) Braud of Moseley, Virginia
5 Grandchildren - Julie Juntune of Virginia, Minnesota, Ruthanne Atkinson, of St. Paul, Minnesota, Brandon, Jacob, and Joseph Braud, all of Moseley, Virginia
2 Great-grandchildren - Miles and Kaia Juntune of Virginia, Minnesota
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother - Gene Lavon Boyer
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster with minister, Steve Councell officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery. Viewing will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
