Jack Eugene Simmons, 82, of North Manchester, IN passed away at 2:10 p.m. on May 28, 2017 at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, IN. He was born on October 26, 1934 in Fort Wayne, IN to Lawson & Helen E. (Souder) Simmons. He was also raised by James and Hazel Simmons.
He graduated in 1952 from Roanoke High School in Roanoke, IN. He lived in Roanoke, Syracuse, Fort Wayne, Bradenton, FL, Terre Haute, and Columbia City before moving to North Manchester in the spring of 2016. He retired from Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN after 34 years of service.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is survived by:
Daughter – Brenda Simmons of Terre Haute, IN
Son – Brian (Karen) Simmons of Syracuse
2 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
