Lifetime Kosciusko County resident, James A. Bowser, 86, passed away September 21, 2015 at 4:44 AM in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Indiana.
Born April 18, 1929 in Warsaw, Indiana, James was the son of John Alva and Anna M. (Beatty) Bowser. He and Patricia “Patsy” Winifred McQueer were joined in marriage December 11, 1954 in Warsaw.
James enlisted with the United States Air Force February 4, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Cpl. James A. Bowser was honorably discharged January 20, 1949 through Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Illinois.
He was a truck driver for Kosciusko County Co-op, Super Sweet Feeds, Keebler Company and Pepsi. James retired in 1991.
He was a former member of Warsaw’s Fraternal Order of Eagles and Warsaw Moose Lodge.
Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: James (and Tammy) Bowser of Nappanee, Indiana and Kevin Bowser of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Cheryl (and Gary) Antonich of Elgin, Illinois and Verdonna Huey of Warsaw; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Doris Jean Shanbeck and Joanne King – both of Warsaw.
Preceding James in death is his wife, Patricia Bowser (February 6, 2006), Infant son: Steven Wayne Bowser; 2 great grandchildren: Kaimen Michael Wallace and Emma Patrice Gibson; parents: John and Anna Bowser; 2 brothers: John and Anna Bowser; 2 brothers: John Bowser and Infant Donald Bowser; 3 sisters: Kathryn Miller, Evelyn Kinsey and Francis Prescott.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2 PM in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. Pastor Brian Lowe, New Life Christian Church & Outreach, will be officiating.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy be given monetarily to Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
