James D. "Jim" Felts

James D. "Jim" Felts, 77, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on February 10, 1943 in Goshen, IN to Kenneth & Virginia (Popenfoose) Felts.

He was a lifetime Syracuse / Leesburg area resident, graduated in 1962 from Syracuse High School, and was a United States Navy veteran. He was married on November 10, 1977 in Nappanee, IN to Jeri L. (Holtzinger) King who survives. He formerly worked at Goshen Rubber for 30 years, was the treasurer for the Goshen Rubber Credit Union, and he was the former co-owner of THE Post in Pierceton for 20 years.

He was a member of the American Legion in Warsaw and formerly attended the United Methodist Church in Leesburg.

He is survived by:

Wife – Jeri Felts of Leesburg

2 Daughters – Christie King of Pierceton & Jamie (Scott) White of Plymouth

2 Sons – Dan King of Warsaw & William (Sharon Boren) King of North Webster

6 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Becky Lee of Syracuse

Special Friends – Charlotte & Bob Terhaar

He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Douglas Felts, and an infant daughter.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd.15, Warsaw, IN. Private family services will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Parkview Home Health & Hospice, 1900 Carew St., Suite 6, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 or Tippecanoe Watershed Foundation, P. O. Box 55, North Webster, IN 46555.
