James E. “Jim” Wright, 77, of North Webster, IN passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 8, 1934 in Peru, IN to James Floyd & Leah Marie (Warren) Wright.
He graduated from Pierceton High School and was married on May 15, 1955 in Warsaw, IN to Lillie M. Hughes who survives. He has lived in Kosciusko County most of his life, having moved here when he was 10 years old from Peru. He retired from United Telephone Company in Warsaw, IN after 43 years of service and formerly worked part time at Mt. Wawasee Ski Slope.
He formerly attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Syracuse and was scout master for the Syracuse Boy Scouts for 9 years.
He is survived by:
Wife – Lillie Wright of North Webster
Daughter – Mrs. Dennis (Janet) Rex of North Webster
3 Sons – Jay Wright of Syracuse; Joe (wife, Joy) Wright of Elkhart; & James Wright of North Webster
5 Grand & 3 Step Grandchildren
Brother – Kenneth (wife, Sondra) Wright of Pierceton
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters – Jean Jensen & Phyllis Arnold
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition).
