James W. “Jim” Schoeff, 68, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in his residence. He was born on November 22, 1946 in Huntington, IN to Wallace E. & Betty L. (Cowin) Schoeff.
He graduated in 1965 from Huntington High School and in 1969 from Monmouth College in Illinois with his Education Degree. He grew up in Huntington, IN and spent most of his adult life in the Chicago, IL area. On July 3, 1997 in Warsaw, IN (Irish Lake) he married Kay D. Barney who survives. He moved to Irish Lake 8 years ago after spending most of his life coming to the lake on weekends and in the summer. He taught school for 5 years in McHenry, IL and then spent the next 33 years in the Mortgage Banking Industry.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster and was a 38 year member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons Lodge # 0995 in Westchester, IL.

2 Daughters – Pamela (Jim) Pondel of Brookfield, IL & Jenna Schoeff of Portland, OR
Son – Matthew (Kelly) Schoeff of La Grange Park, IL
4 Grandchildren
Mother – Betty Schoeff of Huntington
Sister – Kathy (Mike) Hamm of Martinsville, IN
Brother – Donald (Ruth) Schoeff of Huntington
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, 7822 E Epworth Forest Road, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the church with Pastor Byron Kaiser of the church officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN.
