Jane A. Shepherd

Jane A. Shepherd, 64, of North Webster, IN passed away at 12:51 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born on August 27, 1953 in La Rochelle, France to Sgt. Dallas F. & Marguerite J. “Peggy” Buis.

She was a lifetime North Webster area resident and graduated in 1971 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, IN. She was married on July 9, 1977 in North Webster, In to Dexter Shepherd who survives. She was in the banking industry for many years, worked in many of the local banks, and formerly worked at G.T.I. in Leesburg.

She was raised in the Catholic Church, formerly attended the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Pierceton, and attended the Church of the Brethren in North Webster.  She formerly served on the North Webster Town Board.

She is survived by:

Husband – Dexter Shepherd of North Webster

Daughter – Nicky Buis of North Webster

Granddaughter – Emma

2 Sisters – Betsy (Ralph) Luce of North Webster & Kim (Phil) Smith of Leesburg

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters – Suzy Shock & Kelly Buis.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating. Burial will be in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
