Janella D. Lovellette

Janella D. Lovellette, 81, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:42 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1938 in Wilshire, OH to James H. & Viola F. (Heath) Stevens.

She grew up in Ohio & attended Convoy High School in Convoy, OH. She was married on June 24, 1956 in Dixon, OH to Donald E. “Don” Lovellette who survives and they moved to Syracuse in 1971 from Monroeville, IN. She formerly worked at Johnson Controls in Monroeville, IN, Sullivan Group in Nappanee, and was a cook at The Cove in Syracuse.

She was a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Syracuse.

She is survived by:

Husband – Don Lovellette of Syracuse

2 Daughters – Anita Carvajal of Van Wert, OH and Heidi Lovellette of Syracuse

Son – Jeff (Deb) Lovellette of Milford

7 Grand & 12 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Sharon Norman of North Manchester

3 Brothers – Gayle (Karen) Stevens of Van Wert, OH, Donald Stevens of Van Wert, OH, and Gary (Connie) Stevens of Ohio City, OH

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Sherrie Black, granddaughter - Paula Lovellette, and 3 brothers – David, Paul, & Howard Stevens.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in the funeral home with Pastor Stan Owen of the Syracuse Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
