Janet Louise Groves

Janet Louise Groves, 85, of Syracuse, IN (formerly of Milford, IN) passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born on October 7, 1936 in Warsaw, IN to Walter Devon & Thelma (Ketring) Lippincott.

She was a lifetime Milford area resident and attended Milford High School. She was married on May 11, 1963 in Warsaw, IN to Ralph Junior Groves who preceded her on July 24, 1994. She retired from Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw after 20 years and was a member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church in Milford.

She is survived by:

2 Daughters – Jeri Lynn (Dennis) Brown of Milford & Tracy Ann (Howard Birkel) Watkins of Syracuse

5 Grand – Cathryn (Brent) Edwards, Emily (Justin) Green, Amy (Trevor Spencer) Watkins, Sam (Crystal) Watkins, and Catherine (Austin) Sommer

7 Gt. Grandchildren

2 Sisters – Jerri (Frank) Rink of Syracuse & Alice Jo (Dave) Ecklebarger of Leesburg

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister - Barbara Bray.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held. Private graveside services will be in the Milford Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 1048 S. 325E, Pierceton, IN 46562.
