Janis Yvonne Zollinger

Janis Yvonne Zollinger, 88, of New Paris, IN passed away at 5:09 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare in Milford, IN. She was born on December 21, 1927 in New Paris, IN to Eldon & Marie (Steinmetz) Lutes.
She was a lifetime New Paris / Goshen area resident and graduated in 1945 from New Paris High School. She was married on April 16, 1948 at Bethany Church of the Brethren in New Paris, IN to Richard W. Zollinger who survives. She was a former secretary for Penn Controls, Liberty Homes, and the Old Bag Factory all in Goshen.
She was formerly a member of the Syracuse Church of the Brethren and a volunteer for Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw & Oaklawn in Goshen for many years.
She is survived by:
Husband – Richard Zollinger of New Paris
Daughter – Jean (Jan) Burtsfield of Goshen
Son – Doug (Teresa) Zollinger of Elkhart
4 Grandchildren – Isaac ((Bethany), LauraEllen, Eldon, and Sam
Gt. Grandson - Camden
Brother - Keith (Janet) Lutes of Bremen
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson - Michael Zollinger.
Private family graveside services will take place at the New Paris Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of all arrangements.
Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
