Jean Bradbury, age 86 of Warsaw, passed away quietly in the early hours of Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.
Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Jean was the daughter of the late Garret A. Corson and the late Mini A. (Olson) Corson.
Jean was a protective and caring person with an ornery side. She was a straight shooter but would do anything to help a friend in need. She was a past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 49 and previously a member of the F.O.E. Many would remember Jean from her time with the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair where she and her late husband, Roy were very active. Jean could be found at fair season in the ticket booth and helping wherever she was needed. Professionally, she worked for General Tire in Logansport for 13 years and for Sun Metal of Warsaw for nearly as many before retiring in 1990.
Jean was preceded in passing by her husbands, Owen Moore (1981) and Roy Bradbury (2017); son: Michael Moore; sister, Shirley Howard and stepson, Dan Bradbury. Those who survive with memories to cherish include her three children: Fred (Rebecca) Moore of Seven Lakes, Wash., Joanna Moore of Bloomington and Kim (Mike) Nieckula of Valparaiso; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Risden and brother, Garrett (Dorothy) Corson. Also surviving are three stepchildren: John Bradbury, Scott Bradbury and Sonya (Gary) Catherman and their families.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is assisting the family. A private interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery though a memorial gathering is being planned for a later date. Those who wish to express their sympathy may donate to Warsaw’s American Legion Auxiliary or to the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair Board.
