Jeffrey D. "Jeff" Smith

Jeffrey D. "Jeff" Smith, 56, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:48 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN following a motorcycle accident in Elkhart County. He was born on February 16, 1959 in Anderson, IN to Henry D. & Barbara Ellen (McCarty) Smith.

He graduated in 1977 from Madison Heights High School in Anderson, attended Anderson College, graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette with his BA in Recreation Management, and received his Master's of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He was married on December 29, 1979 in Anderson, IN to Sara Shoemaker who survives. He moved to the North Webster area permanently in 1986 after working several summer seasons at Camp Crosley.

He was employed at Precision Medical Technologies in Warsaw and was formerly employed at Dekko Heating in North Webster, Zimmer in Warsaw, and Camp Crosley in North Webster. He was a member of the North Webster Church of God and former member of the Lakeland Kiwanis Club in North Webster.

He is survived by:

Wife – Sara S. Smith of North Webster

Daughter – Danielle (Sam) Willis of Milwaukee, WI

2 Sons – Alex (Tiffany) Smith of Indianapolis & Reed (Miriam) Smith of Indianapolis

2 Grandchildren – London & Livia Smith

Father & Step Mother – Henry & Joyce Smith of Anderson

2 Sisters – Joy (Gary) Smith-Wallace of Winter Haven, FL & Jennifer Smith of North Webster

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Church of God, 300 N. Main St., North Webster, IN with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. A reception will follow in the church Student Ministries Center. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County in Warsaw, IN.
