Jennifer A. "Jenny" Murphy

Jennifer A. “Jenny” Murphy, 40 of Albion, IN passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012 at her home as a result of a mobile home fire. She was born on May 1, 1972 in Goshen IN to Mearlin E. & Myra A. (Corll) Bixler.

She grew up in the North Webster area and graduated in 1992 from Wawasee High School. She also lived in Cromwell for several years before moving to Albion 3 years ago. She was married on May 25, 1996 in Syracuse, IN to Kenneth E. “Kenny” Murphy who survives.

She was a homemaker, attended Merriam Christian Chapel and formerly attended Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego.

She is survived by:
Husband – Kenny Murphy of Albion
2 Sons – Keith Murphy of Auburn & Bradley Murphy of Albion
Daughter – Karen Murphy of Albion
Parents – Mearlin & Myra Bixler of Pierceton
Sister – Mrs. Ted (Kari) Doty of Warsaw
Brother – Marty (wife, Heather) Bixler of Warsaw
Maternal Grandmother – Rosella Corll of Huntington
3 Nieces – Kayla Bixler, Laura Bixler, & Baylor Doty

She was preceded in death by her grandparents - William & Clifton Bixler and Myron Corll.

Visitation will be from 2:00- 5:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, 3065 E. Armstrong Rd., Leesburg, IN with Pastor’s Roderick Smith, Kirk Barger & Dwayne Berna officiating. Private family burial will take place at the Thorn Cemetery near Columbia City, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Jennifer Murphy Funeral fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 72, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
