Jerald James "Jerry" Phillips

Jerald James "Jerry" Phillips, 74, of Huntington, IN (formerly of Leesburg, IN) passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 7, 1944 in Huntington, IN to James A. & Helen Marie (Guynn) Phillips.

He grew up in Huntington and graduated in 1961 from Huntington Township High School. He was married on April 10, 1982 in North Webster, IN to Sally Ann Clayton who preceded him on May 30, 2016. He retired from RKB in North Manchester and formerly worked at Zolner Pistons in Fort Wayne & sold real estate for Larry Wells. He lived most of his life in the Huntington, Fort Wayne, and Leesburg area before returning to Huntington in 2018.

He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Huntington.

He is survived by: 2 Sons – Jeffrey (Cindy) Phillips & Jason Phillips both of Huntington 4 Grandchildren 4 Sisters – Carol Psehes of Fort Wayne, Patricia Rosen, Rebecca Lahr, and Debbie (Randy) Larkey all of Huntington 3 Brothers – Dean (Nancy) Phillips, Rick Phillips, and Donny Phillips all of Huntington

He was preceded in death by his parents & wife.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No services are planned. Private family burial will take place in the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
