Jerry Lee Flatter, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 7:19 pm in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
Although he had lived in Leesburg and the area of Warsaw since his retirement. Jerry was born in Portland, Indiana. He was the son of Ira Ermel and Donna Lee (Riddlebarger) Flatter; they welcomed him into their lives on December 2, 1945.
Jerry was married to Sandra K. “Kay” Skinner on December 16, 1967. His lovely wife preceded him in death on September 30, 2002.
Survivors include his two sons: Jerry Flatter, Jr. (Marcus Outlaw) of South Bend, Indiana and David Flatter of Leesburg, Indiana; a sister: Susan Hodge of Muncie, Indiana and a half-brother: Mike Newton of Ridgeville, Indiana.
Burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Jerry be made to K21 Health Foundation to support their Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810 Warsaw, Indiana 46581 – 1810.
