Jerry Louise Abbott

Jerry Louise Abbott, 86, of Warsaw, IN (formerly of Dayton, OH) passed away at 4:10 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.  She was born on February 23, 1932 in Xenia, OH to George M. & Ester P. (Ford) Herr.

She graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, OH and was married on August 23, 1952 in Liberty, IN to Robert W. “Bob” Abbott who preceded her on January 25, 2012.  She retired from the Moore Paper Box Company in Dayton after 26 years.  She lived most of her life in Ohio, wintered in Dundee, FL, and moved to the Warsaw area in 2015.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Lee Anne (Mike) Stewart of Syracuse

3 Granddaughters – Meghann (Adam) Wood of Warsaw, Janae (Sean) Bergsma of Leesburg, & Nicole Abbott-Farmer of Orlando, FL

Grandson – Scott (Amy) Stewart of Syracuse

5 Gt. Granddaughters & 2 Gt. Grandsons

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son – Michael W. Abbott

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.  Burial will take place in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, OH.  Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
