Jesse A. Garcia, Sr., passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 shortly before 5 pm in his Gary, Indiana home. He was 45 years old.
The son of Leroy Garcia and Shirley (Garreffa) (Garcia) Jones, Jesse was born in East Chicago on March 9, 1972.
Jesse was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed time spent with his family. He was quite handy and enjoyed building and fixing things. He also enjoyed travelling, when he could. A lover of loud music and action films, Jesse was especially fond of House music. He was also a collector of movies and DVDs.
Those who survive include Jesse’s longtime girlfriend, Mary of Gary; son, Jesse, Jr. of Wisconsin; daughters, Taylor of Wabash and Jessica of Kansas; one brother, six sisters, father, Leroy, three grandchildren, and former stepmother, Lisa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Jesse in death were his mother, Shirley, brother, Charlie and his grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw on Saturday, October 7th from 2 to 6 pm for a time of visitation.
