Jesse David Miller, 73, of Etna Green, Indiana died on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana with his family at his side.
Jesse was born October 2, 1940 at Warsaw, Indiana to Jesse Wayne and Lucille Irene (Waggoner) Miller. He was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School. He married Marsha Lou Shock on October 23, 1965 in North Webster, Indiana.
Jesse entered the United States Army December 18, 1959 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana as a quarter master and served in Turkey. SP4 Jesse David Miller was honorably discharged December 14, 1962 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.
He was a tool & die maker at Bentler’s in Goshen, Indiana for 15 years where he retired in 2005. He also attended the North Webster Church of the Brethren, was a member of Warsaw USBC Bowling Association and was inducted into the Warsaw Bowling Hall of Fame.
Jesse is survived by his wife; Marsha Miller of Etna Green, Indiana, daughter and son-in-law; Amy and B.J. Estep of Etna Green and son; David Joe of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Dario Ascension of Liberal, Kansas; two sister-in-laws: Sandy Miller and Arlene Miller both of Warsaw, Indiana and brother-in-law: Robert Smith of Warsaw, Indiana. Proceeding in death were his father: Jesse Wayne Miller, his mother: Lucille I. Miller, June 6, 2008, three brothers: James Miller, October 21, 1994, John Miller, July 25, 2001 and Melvin Miller, August 10, 2006 and his sister-in-law Sharon Smith, August 14, 1981.
Family and friends will come together for a time of sharing and supporting each other Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 4 - 8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A funeral service celebrating Jesse’s life will be at 10:00 A.M Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, chaplain officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw where there will be Military honors by the Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126 in recognition of his service to his country.
The family asked that memorial gifts in memory of Jesse be given to Warsaw USBC Bowing Association, 9120 W. 125 W., Etna Green, Indiana 46524
