Joan McGinnis

Joan McGinnis, 85, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Mason Health & Rehab in Warsaw, IN. She was born on September 12, 1934 in Goshen, IN to Loyal & Nellie (Ebersole) Sayles.

She graduated from Goshen High School, was a former waitress in Indiana & Florida, and transported Amish families. She lived most of her life in the Goshen & Syracuse, and retired to Florida before returning to Indiana in 2010.

She formerly attended the 8th Street Mennonite Church in Goshen.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Rhoda (Edward) Davis of Indianapolis

2 Sons – Ronald (Tammy) Graber of Syracuse & Randy Graber of Okeechobee, FL

7 Grand & Several Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, son – Roger Graber, infant daughter – Rhonda Graber, grandson – Jeremy Graber, 2 sisters- Dorothy & Beulah, and 3 brothers – Harold, Frank, and Bobby.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Private burial will take place in the West Goshen Cemetery.
