Joan A. (Porman) Hunter, 76, of Bourbon, IN (formerly of the North Webster area) passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at her home. She was born on February 10, 1936 in Plymouth, IN to Chester & Irene (Davis) Porman.
She grew up in Bourbon and graduated in 1955 from Bourbon High School, where she was in the Rainbow Girls and played in the band. She lived most of her life in the Bourbon and North Webster areas. She was married on November 6, 1959 in Rochester, IN to Frederick L. “Fred” Hunter who survives. She was a homemaker, former waitress at the M & M Restaurant in North Webster, and worked in several local factories.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ very and much will be missed by her husband and family. She was a member of the New Vision Church in Warsaw where she was a Sunday School teacher.

13 Grand & 6 Gt. Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Campbell of the church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon.
Memorial bequest maybe given to New Vision Church, 614 Oldfather St., Warsaw, IN 46580. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
