JoAnn E. Harrison, 78, of Ligonier, IN died at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, IN. She was born on August 14, 1931 in Ligonier to Lawrence E. & Helen E. (Richwine) Warble.
She graduated in 1949 from North Webster High School and was a lifetime Noble and Kosciusko County area resident. She retired in 1993 from Tenneco Automotive in Ligonier and was formerly employed at Essex in Ligonier for several years. She was a United States Air Force Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Mrs. Ray (Patti Jo) Nelson of Ligonier & Mrs. Jeff (Deborah Ann) Lovellette of Syracuse.
1 Son – William “Bill” (wife, Rhonda) Harrison of Bristol
12 Grandchildren - Jody Lee (wife, Andrea) Nelson, Christopher Ray (wife, Brittney) Nelson, & Joshua Adam (wife, Kristina) Nelson, Heather Louise Harrison, Autumn Eileen Davis, Caleb Isaac Davis, Timothy Allen McFarren, Todd Alan Lovellette, Aaron Fay Harrison, Justin Hollaway, Joey Hollaway, Jessica Whitworth.
16 Gt. Grandchildren
2 Faithful companion cats – Isabella & Devil
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter – Laura Jean Harrison, granddaughter – Paula Marie Lovellette, sister – Leora Warble & brother – George Warble.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Ray Nelson of the New Life Tabernacle in Kendallville officiating. Private family military graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the North Webster Cemetery by the North Webster American Legion.

Memorial bequests may be given to the Humane Society of Noble County, P.O. Box 471, Kendallville, IN 46755. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
