John Bud Elliott, 65, passed away tragically Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 7:03 PM on his Warsaw, Indiana property as the result of a farm accident.
John was born November 21, 1947 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Orval and Mary Belle (Stephens) Elliott. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County and attended Warsaw High School.
In Warsaw on July 22, 1972, he and Linda Albertson were married. John was a machinist with Dana Corporation in Syracuse for 35 years retiring in 2004. He also was a farmer.
John was a 4-H leader and belonged to the Francis Slocum Trail Riders. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include wife, Linda Elliott, Warsaw; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Misty and Joe Rucker, Pierceton, Indiana and Mindy and Andy Martin of Bluffton, Indiana; a granddaughter: Jalynn Rucker, at home; special dog, Yoder; 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: James and Glenda Elliott, Silver Lake, Indiana; Bill and Dorothy Elliott of Sidney, Indiana; and Tomm Elliott of Liott, Tennessee; and 2 sisters: Anna Blair and Linda Justice, both of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Mary Belle Elliott and a brother, Henry Elliott (February 2, 2012).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, October 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of John Bud Elliott will take place Thursday, October 17th beginning at 1 PM in the funeral home. Pastor William Whitaker of Warsaw Family Worship Center will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton,
