John G. Hoffman, 69, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at 7:18 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
John was born June 17, 1944 in Trenton, New Jersey to Pierre Rondo and Elenore (Alloway) Hoffman.
He earned his bachelors degree from Rutgers University. John also served in the United States Army. Afterwards he became a college text book salesman.
On March 17, 1991 in Richmond, Virginia he and Pamela Jermano were joined in marriage. They lived in Warsaw and North Webster, Indiana. John lived North Manchester, Indiana for the past 2 years.
He attended Victory Christian Church in North Manchester. John enjoyed model railroading. He was a member of North Webster’s Lions Club and its American Legion Post 253.
He is survived by 2 sons: Erik Hoffman and Lee Phillip Hoffman, both of Trenton, New Jersey; 2 daughters: Jennifer Hoffman of Manville, New Jersey and Rebecca Samonski of Warsaw; 2 step sons: Jonathon Smith of Michigan City, Indiana and Matthew Smith, Florida; 6 grandchildren: Kassandra Kaiser, Sean Samonski, Rhiannon Wille, Heather Samonski, Renee Wille and Kaylee Hoffman; 1 brother: William Kenworthy of Florida; 3 Sisters: Shirley Hoffman, Florida; Barbara Hoffman, Trenton; and Sheryl Kenworthy, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Hoffman (June 23, 2009); 3 sisters: Edith Hoffman, Susan Kenworthy and Elenore Tharp; 3 brothers: Leroy Hoffman, Ronald Hoffman and Bruce Kenworthy; and his parents: Pierre and Elenore Hoffman.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, September 18th
from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of John G. Hoffman will follow beginning at 10:30 in the funeral home with Rev. Dudley Waites officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
