John McCarty

John McCarty, age 73, of Etna Green, passed away December 18, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. He was born on October 20, 1950 to Glen & Ruby (Viola) McCarty in Plymouth, IN. 

John dedicated many years of his life to his career as a truck driver. Throughout his professional journey, he exemplified integrity and reliability, traits that made him a trusted member of the trucking community.

When John wasn't on the road, he found solace in exploring his passion for speed at the New Paris Speedway. The sights, sounds, and exhilaration of racing filled him with joy. His presence at the speedway during the summer months will forever be remembered by all who shared those memorable experiences with him. 

He leaves behind his cherished companion of 33 years, Sandra Moore of Etna Green, as well as three daughters and two sons. 

John McCarty will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched with his kindness and love. May we honor his memory by embracing our loved ones tightly, cherishing every moment that life grants us, and finding solace in pursuing our passions with unyielding enthusiasm.

He is surivived by his children Shelley (Phil) Marek, Jason (Tiffany) McCarty, Renee (Joe) Brennan, Amber Robb, Beth (Joe) Holt and Jeff Simpson; sister,Theresa (John) Elliot; one niece Tara (Jason) Sopher and nephews Justin (Tana) Elliot and Trentin Elliot.

Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Warsaw 2000 Sheridan Street Warsaw, IN 46580. 

No services will be held at this time although a Memorial Service is in the planning stages for April 2024. Time and date of  the Service will be announced later. 

Donations in memory of John may be made to Titus Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
