John Allen Losee, 66, of Darlington, WI (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at his home in Darlington, WI. He was born on March 12, 1951 in Warsaw, IN to James R. & Pauline O. (Ringler) Losee.

He graduate in 1969 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived most of his life in the Syracuse area before moving to Darlington, WI in 2007. He worked in the local trailer factories during his early years and was a bartender for his brother, at Louie’s Bar & Grill in Syracuse for many years.

He formerly attended the Church of the Brethren in Syracuse. He loved to hunt & fish and was an avid mushroom hunter. He enjoyed watching all sports especially football and baseball. John was a social butterfly and could be found striking up a conversation with just about anyone at any of the local establishments. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by:

2 Sons – Mitch (Tamara) Losee of Warsaw & Eric (Julie) Losee of Merrill, WI

6 Grandchildren - Kayla, Heather, Ryan, Josh, Hannah, and Olivia

3 Sisters – Rosemary “Peg” (Jerry) Method of Milford, Sharon Kaufman of Milford, Janice “Jan” (George) Bowler of Milford

Many Nieces & Nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Miriam Benson, and brother – Richard Losee.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will be in the Solomon Creek Cemetery at a later date.
