John Robert "Bob" Fisher

John Robert "Bob" Fisher Sr., 103, of Milford, IN passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, IN. He was born on August 21, 1916 in Milford, IN to Rev. Leroy Martin & Bertha (Bucher) Fisher.

He was a lifetime Milford area resident and graduated in 1934 from Milford High School. He was married on October 9, 1949 in Churubusco, IN to Georgia Hosler who proceeded him in August 2, 2001. He was a farmer and was formerly employed at Morman Feed Sales in Quincy, IL, Sharp Hardware in Milford, Pletcher Furniture in Nappanee, and was involved with real estate.

He was a member of the Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren in Nappanee and a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Milford.

He is survived by:

3 Daughters – DiAnn (Kenneth) Mathews, Janet (Greg) Bowser, and Carol (Larry) Speicher all of Milford

Son – John Robert Fisher Jr. of Milford

5 Grand & 12 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Mary Lou (Francis) Korenstra of Syracuse

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother – Howard Fisher.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Private family services will take place at a later date with burial in the Milford Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
