John R. "Rocky" Hayes, 51, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1959 in Marion, IN to John M. & Edwina B. (Sines) Hayes.
He grew up in the Logansport, IN area and graduated in 1978 from Logansport High School. He was married on August 28, 1993 in Goshen, IN to Patricia Davis who survives He retired from Homecrest Corporation after 17 years of service. He moved to the North Webster area in 1996 from Goshen. He was a member of Maxwelton Golf Course in Syracuse, IN.
He is survived by:
Wife – Patricia Hayes of North Webster
Daughter – Brea Werner of Logansport
Son – John (wife, Amy) Werner of Logansport
2 Grandchildren
Mother – Edwina Hayes of Silver Lake
Sister – Mrs. Mark (Laura) Sill
Brother – Scott (wife, Debbie) Hayes of Syracuse
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Maxwelton Golf Club, 5721 E. Elkhart County Line Rd., Syracuse, IN 46567. Pastor David Smitley of the North Webster United Methodist Church will be officiating.
